Celestial Art
Artist's
statement:
Vincent Marenghi
works to duplicate
pictures he sees in his mind's eye. These, he says, can best
be described as celestial images.
"I just thought everyone has pictures floating around
in their head that they'd paint
if they had time."
About Vincent Marenghi:
A retired Teamster
Union official,
now living and making art in Rhode Island, Vincent Marenghicontinues
to
explore creating visual expressions of his internal visions.
Several galleries in Rhode Island have
started featuring his mostly-duotone work, which one critic
dubbed "Pollock minus pallette." Vincent's work was
recently exhibited in the International Cultural Community
Exhibition in Nassau, Bahamas.
